PHRYGIA. Acmoneia. Severus Alexander, 222-235. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 30 mm, 10.46 g, 6 h). AYT K M AY[P] AΛ[E]ΞΑΝΔΡΟC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander to right. Rev. AKMΟΝΕΩ-Ν The emperor on horseback charging to right, about to strike two enemies before him; below, prostrate enemy lifting his right hand to protect his head; above, eagle flying to right. Cf. RPC VI Online temp. 5590 = Winterthur 4024 (different denomination) otherwise seemingly unpublished. Earthen green patina. Some earthen highlights on both sides, otherwise, nearly very fine.
